Saco River Camping? Myself and some of my friends are planning to do a float/ paddle down the saco and camp for one or two nights. Unfortunately

The section of the Saco from Swans Falls in Fryeburg, Maine to the take out in Hiram, Maine, (just above the Rte 117 bridge) is the only section where the “open camping ” agreement is in place. You’re allowed to camp on UNPOSTED sandbars and beaches only. Remember, you are a guest. I wanted to take a minute to write and let you (the owners/managers of the campground) know what a wonderful time we had at your campground recently. My husband, myself and 2 toddlers stayed on site 123 and my parents next to us on site 122. The woman who checked us in on 6/12 was very polite and a pleasure to chat with. Parson's Landing is a secluded beach campground located seven miles west of the village of Two Harbors. Its eight primitive sites can accommodate up to eight people each and are accessible by a strenuous 6.7-mile hike on the Silver Peak Trail, or a 7.7-mile walk on the West End Road.
